Discusses the effects of Caribbean countries' efforts to expand export processing zone (EPZ) operations. How women are the major source of labor in an EPZ; Opportunities created by using EPZ as a development strategy in the region; Expansion of the types of jobs available to women with limited education and skills; Challenges relating to low wages and limited opportunities for promotion.
