Abstract
The article sheds lights on the dangers and implications of artificial intelligence (AI)-driven or virtual child sexual abuse materials (VCSAM), or deepfakes, for pediatric populations. Topics discussed include Tech Coalition classification system that categorizes suspected CSAM, use of AI-manipulated content for sextortion or harassment, legal considerations with VCSAM and role of the pediatric medical community in detecting signs of potential exploitation and exposure to harmful content.
