Abstract
This article discusses the role of (poly)phenols in inflammation and their potential as a preventive and therapeutic approach to chronic inflammatory diseases. (Poly)phenols are phytochemicals found in fruits, vegetables, and beverages, and they have been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. The article highlights the importance of understanding the mechanisms of action of (poly)phenols and their metabolites in inflammatory processes. The research presented in this article suggests that (poly)phenols could be incorporated into dietary modifications, nutraceutical supplementation, or the development of targeted pharmaceutical agents for the management of chronic inflammatory diseases. However, further research is needed to explore the nuances of (poly)phenol interactions and individual responses to interventions. [Extracted from the article]
