Abstract
We describe a method for calculating the heat flow to a cryogenic tank when it accidently begins to leak and the space between the walls is filled with water. The results of computational and experimental investigations of a three-layer plate are reported. The thickness of the ice layer that forms is given as a function of time and the water temperature and the heat transfer coefficient is also given as a function of time. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
