Abstract
Hypereutectic aluminum-silicon alloy AlSi18Cu5Mg has been modified with beryllium in concentrations of 0.005, 0.007 and 0.01%, respectively. The compositions have been subjected to T6 heat treatment. The corrosion and electrochemical behaviour of the alloy in 0.1 M H2SO4 has been studied both before and after subjecting it to heat treatment. Evaluation of the obtained results has been made.
