Abstract
This article discusses a rare ocular manifestation in lamellar ichthyosis (LI), a severe form of congenital ichthyosis. The authors present a case study of a 21-year-old male with LI who developed corneal perforation, a serious complication that can lead to vision loss. The article emphasizes the importance of early diagnosis and treatment of ocular abnormalities in LI, such as ectropion and exposure keratitis, to prevent major complications like corneal perforation. The authors also review the literature on corneal perforation in patients with LI and highlight the need for a multidisciplinary approach to managing these patients. [Extracted from the article]
