Abstract
Networking refers to the practise of sharing, transporting, and exchanging data between nodes within a shared medium. Data traffic refers to the mass volume of data moving across the computer network at a given time. This data congestion is usually caused by old bandwidth. Earlier, traditional networking approach was practised which was not flexible. To overcome the limitations of traditional networking Software Defined Networking have been adopted. SDN centralises the management by separating the control plane from data plane. The control plane is intelligent which is considered to be brain of SDN. The main objective of the SDN is to enhance network efficiency. Thus, SDN lays a foundation to enhance the efficiency of the network by using various routing algorithms. Therefore, this helps in reducing the data traffic and packet loss thereby improving the network performance. In this paper, we review and analyse the existing Routing Algorithms in SDN.
