Abstract
In this review, existing succinic acid manufacturing methods are reviewed. The economic status and the prospects for chemical and microbiological means of biosuccinic acid production are also presented. Possible approaches to lower production costs via improvements in known technologies, as well as the designing of new methods, are considered.
