Abstract
The article profiles the works of Michael Wygant, a retiree of the U.S. Foreign Service, in foreign service. After his retirement, Wygant assisted in opening the first embassies of the country in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan. In 1994, he served with the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe. Also, Wygant addressed the students and faculty in northern England about his diplomatic experiences in conflict resolution and nation-building.
