Abstract
The article discusses that Local Hero Awards are given annually to individuals selected by the board and staff for their outstanding work on behalf of the natural world of the San Francisco Bay Area. Topics discussed include the 2021 awards will be presented to the people at Bay Nature's virtual Local Heroes Award celebration on April 11, 2020; and Clay Anderson's desire to be an environmental educator began when he was 10 years old and has never wavered.
