Abstract
The article provides guidance to primary care physicians (PCPs) on how to detect cerebral palsy (CP) in children and youth. Topics discussed include standardized developmental screening recommended by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), signs that should alert the PCP to the possibility of CP, and ways pediatricians can guide families in developing a treatment plan.
