Abstract
An interview with conductors, including Charles Bruffy, Ann Howard Jones and Ronald Staheli, is presented. When asked when Bruffy decided to become a conductor, he reveals that he did not plan for it to happen and it all started when he was asked to become the assistant conductor of the Kansas City Chorale. Jones mentioned that Robert Shaw was one of the most influential persons in her career as a conductor. Staheli explains how he goes about learning a new score, including the process that helps him to internalize.
