Abstract
This article discusses a study on hand enthesitis in psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients. The study found that PsA patients had greater thickness in certain hand entheses compared to RA patients. Additionally, a specific imaging sign called Doppler-superb microvascular imaging (SMI) sign was only found in PsA patients. These findings suggest that hand enthesitis may be a useful marker for distinguishing between PsA and RA, but more research is needed to fully understand and standardize the concept of small entheses.
