Abstract
The article discusses a case study of a 44-year old man. The patient had a three year medical history of postprandial chest pain and odynophagia with weight loss of 8.1 kilograms in last two months. The endoscopy showed food stasis in esophagus, large diverticula in lower esophagus and extensive candidasis. The patient was diagnosed with diffuse esophageal spasm (DSM) and after an esophageal resection the patient recovered to lead a normal life.
