Abstract
The article discusses the relevance, usability and applicability of a Professional Practice Model (PPM) to the nursing practice. Topics discussed include the importance of the PPM in fostering collaborative communication and professional development, the redesign of the PPM depicting a tree with roots and branches to represent organizational foundation and the growth of the nursing practice, and the role of the PPM in achieving higher levels of nurse empowerment, satisfaction and engagement.
