Abstract
The article discusses the clinical manifestations of cerebral venous thrombosis (CVT), an elusive diagnosis because of its nonspecific presentation and its numerous predisposing causes. It is found out that headache is the most frequent symptom of CVT and occurs 70 to 90 percent of cases. There are four main patterns of presentation including headache with isolated intracranial hypertension, headache with focal focus, subacute encephalopathy and cavernous sinus thrombosis.
