Abstract
The article presents a study which analyzed the arsenic concentrations in community and prison water systems (CWS) in the U.S.' Southwestern region. Other topics include access to safe drinking water as a universal human right, the trends in compliance, water quality and treatment after the adoption of the arsenic maximum contaminant level (MCL) for arsenic in the region, and the effectiveness of arsenic remediation.
