Abstract
The article discusses a study on the association of chloroquine ingestion with Tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy. It reports about the multiorgan failure in a patient, ingested with chloroquine, along with intravascular coagulation and hemolysis ultimately leading to brain death. It mentions of myocardial ischemia being the first mechanism proposed for the explanation of Tako-tsubo cardiomyopathy. It discusses the change in the transduction pathway of cardiomyopathy with respect to epinephrine.
