Abstract
"Stabilize the Unstable": Treatment Pathophysiology in Bleeding Trauma Patients, from the Field to the ICU. Moreover, hemostasis is upheld by early platelet transfusion that improves outcomes in acutely bleeding trauma patients and cryoprecipitate that provide a source of fibrinogen, Factor VIII, and von Willebrand factor with an additional benefit to the endothelium [[11]]. Moreover, the GBD reported the nonfatal sequelae (disabilities and handicaps) among trauma patient survivors, who are often healthy young individuals that will suffer lifelong disabilities as a result of the injuries sustained [[1]]. Thus, the management of haemodynamically unstable trauma patients continues to represent a challenge for clinicians who face a time-dependent condition in which critical injuries causing organ failure should be quickly recognized and controlled.
