Abstract
Reports on the efficacy of beta-blocking agents by means of peak oxygen uptake (POU) kinetics, a parameter independent of heart rate in patients with diluted cardiomyopathy. Estimate of exercise capacity by anaerobic threshold; Calculation of POU from respiratory gas analysis; Assessment of the beneficial effects of heart failure treated with beta-blocking agents.
