Abstract
Introduction:Ebstein anomaly is a rare cardiac congenital condition affecting tricuspid valve. It is a morphological and functional malformation of the tricuspid valve and right ventricle which results in tricuspid regurgitation and atrialization of proximal portion of the right ventricle. Here we present a 52yr old female with Ebstein anomaly with K/c/o Diabetes and Hypertension on treatment. ECG revealed RBBB. On 2D-echo Ebstein anomaly with moderate Tricuspid regurgitation with LVEF-60%. Patient was scheduled for emergency incision and drainage of the left shoulder carbuncle. All routine and emergency drugs and equipment including defibrillator were kept ready in operation theatre. Left EJV and right radial arterial line taken. Patient was premedicated and Induced with intravenous etomidate and atracurium and was intubated with minimal hemodynamic response. Strict I/O charting done and SPV&PPV monitoring done. Procedure went uneventful. Patient was extubated on table with minimal airway response and shifted post surgery recovery room for monitoring. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
