Abstract
Presents a study which analyzed the differential gain in gallium arsenide/aluminum gallium arsenide semiconductor quantum well lasers. Analysis of differential gain based on the parabolic band model; Examination of differential gain based on the valence-band mixing model; Numerical results and discussion.
