Abstract
The article provides an overview of the natural history, diagnosis and management of polycystic ovary (PCO) in adolescence. It mentions that around 30% of the women are pre-determined to genetically develop PCO because it is a polygenic disorder. It states that PCOS might be over- or under-diagnoses as the ovarian and metabolic changes are the same both in normal adolescent girls and cases.
