The paper takes into account a revolutionary and principally simple technology of wide application possibilities concerning especially oil extraction industries. Namely, it is about a solid in drilling expandable technology that can provide for efficient solutions as regards oil and gas onshore and offshore drilling programs. The relatively uncomplicated Solid Expandable Tubular - SET technology is on a track of fast development. It was born out of necessity to restore and rejuvenate offshore wells in a way that would be economically efficient and technically astute. The SET Technology makes it possible to successfully drill reservoirs that would be difficult or even impossible to reach with traditional technologies. Currently, the world's leading provider of this technology is the Houston-based Enventure Global Technology, L.L.C. that was established as a joint venture between Halliburton Energy Services and Shell Technology Ventures in 1998.
