Abstract
This article discusses the relationship between atrial fibrillation (AF) and frailty, two conditions that are becoming increasingly prevalent as the global population ages. Frailty is a clinical syndrome characterized by reduced physiological reserve and vulnerability to stress, often associated with old age and multiple health issues. The study mentioned in the article found that frail patients had an increased risk of developing AF, with a significant gender difference observed, as the incidence of AF was higher in frail women compared to men. The study also suggests the need for a universally accepted definition of frailty and further research to confirm the findings. [Extracted from the article]
