Presents the results of a growth study of fecal coliforms and Salmonella spp. in sludge treated with acetic acid in Mexico City, Mexico. Different doses of the acetic acid used; Recommended doses of acetic aid for the reduction of bacterial regrowth; Conditions contributing to the effectiveness of the acetic acid treatment.
