Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 44-year-old man with a history of morbid obesity reestablished care. It mentions that diagnosis showed both gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and coronary artery disease (CAD) with exertional angina along with severe ketogenic diet– associated hypercholesterolemia and early-onset CAD; and concludes that low-carb diets may have a significant and detrimental effect on low-density lipoprotein levels.
