Abstract
Dear Editors, As the coronavirus spread throughout much of the world, Americans made drastic changes to their lifestyles, including canceling schools and working from home. Utilizing multivariate regression, after adjusting for calendar month and year, there remained an increase in calls during the COVID-era compared with the pre-COVID era; 12.2 calls (95% CI 4.34-20.2). The median number of pre-COVID health care referrals was 10 (95% CI 10-11) cases per day during school hours, compared with 9 (95% CI 8-11) cases during the COVID-era. [Extracted from the article]
