Abstract
The article focuses on the enlarged spleens that were recorded to several Congolese refugees from Uganda who applied for resettlement to the U.S. in 2015. It notes the medical examinations carried out by the International Organization for Migration (IOM) which brought to the discovery of splenomegaly. It also mentions the unknown etiology of the condition and the recommendation of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for to properly address the condition.
