Abstract
This article, published in the Journal of Neurological Surgery, describes the use of a Latissimus dorsi muscle free flap to reconstruct the anterior skull base in the treatment of an infected gunshot wound. The procedure involved removing an infected prior frontal craniotomy bone flap and split-thickness bone grafts, followed by combined open-endoscopic latissimus dorsi muscle reconstruction.
