Abstract
Information regarding the 23rd International Mammalian Genome Conference in La Jolla, California is presented. Topics include the bioinformatics workshop which discussed valuable resources such as Genome Resource Consortium that offer information on human and mouse genome assemblies. It mentions that Bruce Beutler from the Scripps Research Institute tackled the role of Toll-like receptors (TLR) in host resistance. Moreover, paternal X-inactivation during early embryogenesis was also discussed.
