Abstract
The article presents research on the effects of continuous personal particulate matter (PM2.5) monitoring on cardiovascular health outcomes and micro-environmental exposure, with a focus on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's (US EPA) Detroit Exposure and Aerosol Research Study (DEARS). Topics include human exposure to air pollutants, heart rate (HR) monitoring associated with personal particulate matter exposure, and physiological responses to environmental exposure.
