Abstract
The article discusses the effects of parental substance use on children. It explores on the provision of support to children and parents who are substance dependent, and the child protection policy in Australia. It also presents the new model for working with parental substance use-affected families, and the Odyssey House Victoria Mirror Families intervention program for substance-dependent parents and their children.
