Abstract
The article explores the Life on Mars: Designing a Spacesuit activity where students explore the context of building a spacesuit designed to be worn on Mars. At each level, students learn about Mars and developmentally appropriate context-building activities are used to focus students' attention on specific requirements of a spacesuit.
