Abstract
The article discusses the depiction of skin changes in art from the 18th to 19th centuries. The authors analyze various paintings by Old Masters and identify signs of aging, such as wrinkles and skin discoloration, as well as other skin conditions like seborrheic warts and tumors. They argue that these paintings reflect society's obsession with beauty and the concealment of imperfections. The authors recommend a book called "DermARTologie: The Incarnate" for further exploration of this topic. [Extracted from the article]
