Abstract
This document is a special issue of the International Journal of Molecular Sciences focusing on new advances in cancer genetics. The papers collected in this issue discuss various mechanisms of tumorigenesis, the challenges in exploring them, and the need for multiple perspectives. The studies highlight the role of miRNAs in tumor formation, pathways involved in altering tumor suppressor genes, and the potential of new methods like cfDNA and ctDNA analysis for patient monitoring and management. However, these methods require validation and refinement, and it is important to recognize the complexity of tumor progression and the need for alternative disease monitoring tools. The document emphasizes the fragmentation of knowledge in cancer research and the challenge of integrating this knowledge into effective clinical management models. [Extracted from the article]
