Abstract
The article focuses on an automatic HIV testing program which was launched in Washington, D.C. in collaboration with the Washington, D.C. Department of Health Administration for HIV Policy and Program. The program consists of having inmates swabbed around their gums upon intake to correctional facilities and prior to release into the community.
