Abstract
The analysis identified 303,319 patients who had an IHCA between July 2010 and March 2018; of these, 9,433 in 697 hospitals received chest compressions and ECPR on the same day and were eligible for the analysis. For example, the analysis identified eligible patients by external chest compressions and ECPR occurring on the same day rather than in consecutive order; therefore, a number of patients who had external chest compressions after the commencement of ECMO may have been included in error.
