Abstract
The article presents case study of a 4-year-old girl diagnosed with beta-thalassaemia major who was commenced on regular blood transfusions. It mentions that the starting dose used for the paediatric deferasirox desensitization was the same as the starting dose in the adult deferasirox desensitization. It also highlights counselling offered to her parents on missed doses resulting in hypersensitivity.
