Abstract
This article discusses a case of a 73-year-old man with leukocytosis who underwent a chest computed tomography (CT) scan. The patient was diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), which is a common type of leukemia in the Western hemisphere. CLL primarily affects adults aged 65-70 and is characterized by the proliferation of abnormal leukocytes. The article also mentions various imaging features of CLL, such as splenomegaly, hepatomegaly, and lymphadenopathy. Pulmonary involvement is seen in over one third of CLL patients and can present with different radiographic features. The radiographic appearance of pulmonary leukemic infiltration includes bilateral reticular changes, small pulmonary nodules, and focal homogenous opacities. [Extracted from the article]
