Abstract
This article, published in the Journal of Neurological Surgery, explores the surgical anatomy of the Lateral Supracerebellar Approach (LSA) for accessing the posterior wall of the cavernous sinus (CS). The study investigates the use of both microsurgery and endoscopy techniques in this approach. The authors conclude that LSA can be a valid solution for approaching lesions involving the posterior wall of the CS, and that the integration of the microscope with the endoscope is an important tool for neurosurgeons. The study was conducted at the University of Florence and authored by Andrea Boschi, Giancarlo Lastrucci, Giovanni Barbagli, and Alessandro Della Puppa. [Extracted from the article]
