Abstract
Let us not forget the importance of a face-to-face consultation in the Covid-19 era: A dermatology perspective However, this approach is not always feasible for certain patient groups (pediatrics and the elderly), high-risk patients, such as those on long-term immunosuppression, pathology involving sensitive sites such as the genitalia and patients who have had a confirmed skin cancer, as we know these patients are at higher risk of developing further skin cancers in the future.3 These patients require a face-to-face consultation to ensure no further pathology is detected. From clinical experience, it is commonly noted that when the patient attends in person for review, the clinician is able to identify another skin lesion which requires further investigation, where the original lesion may be harmless.
