Abstract
The article presents the discussion on circulating vaccine-derived poliovirus (cVDPV) outbreaks. Topics include Sabin-strain serotypes 1, 2, and 3 strains undergoing prolonged circulation in under-vaccinated populations resulting in genetically reverted neurovirulent virus; and improving routine immunization coverage and strengthening poliovirus surveillance.
