Abstract
The article presents a retrospective observational study on Clostridioides difficile infection treatment guidelines adherence and comparison of treatment outcomes of the first, non-severe disease episode between oral metronidazole and vancomycin group. It discusses the initial therapy for Clostridioides difficile infection as per the severity of illness. It mentions the clinical success of the oral vancomycin over the metronidazole in a randomized, placebo-controlled trial.
