Abstract
The article presents a study which aims to identify whether genes that have been associated with human Addison's disease related with canine Addison's disease. It mentions that the study uses 42 putatively associated single nucleotide polymorphisms from 17 genes in five breeds and one gene showed a putative allelic relationship in two different breeds. It is inferred that deciphering the risk alleles will need an additional multibreed genetic analyses of affected and un-affected dogs.
