Abstract
Two new species of Gynaeseius Wainstein, 1962, namely G. dweepabasi Karmakar and Biswas sp. n. and G. kalapaharicus Karmakar and Biswas sp. n., are described, based on specimens collected from flora in the dense, lush and obscured tropical evergreen rainforest regions of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. With these descriptions, thirteen valid species of Gynaeseius are presently known from the world. Gynaeseius santosoi (Ehara, 2005) has been recorded for the first time from India, also from that same region, being here redescribed. A key to the world species of the genus is provided.
