Abstract
The article suggests methods to increase the productivity of large ethylene oxide reactors. It is mentioned that ethylene oxide is prepared by vapor-phase reaction of ethylene and oxygen and the reaction is an exothermic reaction where silver-based catalyst is used. Also, a good catalyst life helps in reducing the amount of raw materials used and catalyst costs associated with the production. Additionally, focusing on catalyst selectivity helps in increasing production economically.
