Abstract
The article discusses the case of a 42-year-old woman with a 7-month history of intermittent, cramping abdominal pain. The abdominal pain was associated with diarrhea, constipation, vomiting, and a poor appetite, leading to an overall 23-kg weight loss. The case was of endometriosis producing a mass lesion in the ileocecum of the woman. This case is an illustration of the pitfalls in diagnosis of endometriosis involving the gastrointestinal tract. A pathologic finding revealed the presence of benign glandular inclusions in the two regional lymph nodes.
