Interestingly, two patients with anti-Ro antibody-positive chilblain lupus erythematosus who received skin grafts from normal abdominal skin to the affected dorsal hands as a surgical treatment for their chilblains have been described.[5] The grafted sites remained clinically and histologically clear from perniosis for 7 and 3 years after surgery respectvely.
