Abstract
As inflammatory stimuli induce PCSK9-expression, we hypothesize that the lymphoma-associated hyperinflammatory state in our patient caused a critical paraneoplastic flare of LDL-cholesterol levels and that chemotherapeutic treatment in combination with drug therapy and lipapheresis attenuated this effect. Here, we report extremely high LDL-cholesterol levels and multiple critical cardiovascular events heralding lymphoma diagnosis.
